Why The Sunshine Team organises The Prestwich Carnival & Grand Parade

To promote community spirit by providing a local event full of family fun and encouraging local people to become actively involved.

To enable voluntary and community groups to raise their profile and funds for themselves by taking part in the event by having a charity stall.

To distribute monies to local voluntary and community groups at a presentation evening with the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury.
